Parade Day

Tuesday, May 22, 2012
I love parades. Or at least the beginning of parades. Where the veterans in uniform, riding on horses, carrying the flag of our United States of America, are followed by a high school band playing out some patriotic tune accompanied by the roar of F-16's flying overhead. Ahh, can't wait.
Let's remember this Memorial Day all those who have given up their lives so we can enjoy the freedom that allows us to say God Bless America.
And don't forget to break out some red, white, and blue, go to a parade, eat a snow cone, and have a happy 4th of July!

Here are a few of the ruffle fabric skirts I've made up for the shop. They are light, airy, and perfect for summer. (And don't need to be ironed like cottons!) Coming up next week, red, white, and blue, all in one ruffly skirt, just in time for the summer festivities. See you soon!

What? A picture would be worth a thousand words

I liked the items that I made this past week so much, I forgot to take pictures of them before I rushed them down to Country Heart Crafts.
So, paint a picture in your head of a throw pillow made out of this aqua chevron fabric. The pillow is super simple, letting the chevron do the hard work of being beautiful all by itself. (It definitely can pull it off.) I really wanted to keep the pillow for myself, but aqua doesn't match my current decor. So sad, but so happy someone else can buy it!

I also made some more nightlights, checkbook covers, and baby outfits.  I'll have to post more photos soon.

Have a great day!
